Class Teacher’s Responsibilities for the Session 

As a Class Teacher, you play a crucial role in managing the class efficiently, ensuring discipline, and guiding students toward academic and personal growth. Below are your key responsibilities:

  1. Class Management – Maintain discipline, decorum, and a positive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  2. Classroom Maintenance & Feedback – Regularly inspect and report any issues related to cleanliness, furniture, lighting, fans, podium, smart class, smart board, etc., to the Admin Department.
  3. Record Keeping – Ensure proper maintenance of the Monitor’s Diary, Attendance Register, and Profile Register.
  4. Student Diary Maintenance – Keep an updated record of attendance, fees, leaves, library usage, marks, timetable, homework, assembly participation, and activities.
  5. Ensure Regularity & Punctuality – Motivate students to attend school regularly and be punctual.
  6. Student Appearance & Turnout – Monitor students’ uniforms, hygiene, and overall presentation, informing parents when necessary.
  7. Performance Tracking – Observe and evaluate students' academic progress, behavior, and overall development.
  8. Encourage Active Participation – Motivate students to take part in extracurricular activities, competitions, and school programs to enhance their skills.
  9. Coordination with Subject Teachers – Regularly interact with subject teachers to discuss each student's academic and behavioral progress (at least twice a month).
  10. Foster a Positive Environment – Create a healthy and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes teamwork, respect, and discipline.
  11. Extracurricular & Assembly Records – Maintain a proper record of students’ participation in extracurricular and assembly activities, ensuring it is signed by the Principal every month.
  12. Parent-Teacher Communication – Regularly engage with parents through PTMs, calls, or meetings to discuss students’ academic and behavioral progress.
  13. Special Attention to Needy Students – Identify students who need extra academic or behavioral support and coordinate with school counselors or mentors if required.
  14. Ensure Discipline & Conduct – Encourage students to follow school rules, maintain discipline, and exhibit good conduct inside and outside the classroom.
  15. Monitor Health & Hygiene – Ensure students maintain personal hygiene, proper uniform, and a healthy routine, creating a safe school environment.
